Ivory Coast President Alassane Ouattara has announced the release of dozens of people arrested in the aftermath of last year’s presidential election.
At least 100 people have been killed in political turmoil since last October’s election, which President Ouattara won for a third term.
Opposition candidates boycotted the election, citing Ivory Coast’s constitutional limit to two.
Opposition leaders Laurent Gbagbo and Henri Konan Bedie, both former presidents, have released political prisoners.
Gbagbo has demanded the release of more than 100 people, including some involved in the 2010-2011 election violence.
