Brazil won gold at the men’s Olympic Games in Tokyo with a 2-1 victory over Spain.
That victory allowed Brazil to win the gold and defend the trophy they won four years ago when they achieved such a feat.
Brazil opened the scoring through Matheus Cunha, while Spain pulled one back through Mikel Oyarzabal, extending the game into extra time with a 1-1 draw.
In the 108th minute, substitute Malcolm scored Brazil’s second goal of the game.
The victory added to the success of 38-year-old Brazil international Dani Alves, both as a captain and a key player in the team.
In 2016, Neymar Jnr led Brazil to the gold medal, and since 1988 no European country has won the Olympics.
