The Ethiopian government has warned against using all its military forces in Tigray, following the TDF’s attempt to occupy neighboring areas.

The Ethiopian Foreign Ministry says Tigray rebels are pressuring the government to use all available security forces if it refuses to cooperate in its humanitarian efforts to end the conflict in Tigray peacefully.

Last Friday morning, the Tigray rebel group rejected calls to withdraw from the occupied Afar and Amhara regions.

The rebels’ announcement comes a day after the capture of Lalibela, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Amhara region, the latest in a nine-month conflict.
