Arrival of the vaccines was witnessed by the Representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO), the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and the United Nations Africa (AU)

The vaccines were purchased through the African Union and are the first of its kind in Nigeria.

More than One million doses of the vaccine are expected to the Country in August.

According to the Federal government the Vaccination exercise will begin on Monday, the 16th of this month at the Abuja Health Center and in other parts of Nigeria.

Speaking at a weekly Ministerial Press Conference at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Minister of Health Dr. Osagie Ehanire says the federal government will buy corona vaccines without relying on those who are missing out.
