The newly appointed Zamfara State Head of Service, Malam Kabir Muhammad Gayari ha assumed office and pledged to justify the trust reposed on him by the state Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle.
While assuming Duty, the Head of Service called on the Civil Servants in the State to intensify efforts for better service delivery.
Malan Kabir Muhammad Gayari who reported to office at JB Yakubu Secretariat, Friday, amidst heavy rainfall at about 8:30 am said punctuality should be maintained for justification of civil service rules as agreed upon by civil servants.
In an unusual, humble and modest manner, the Head of Service was accompanied to the office by only four people, to include; Permanent Secretary, Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) Alhaji Garba Muhammad Gusau; a Medical Consultant Dr. Aminu (Walin Gummi); Coordinator, State Operation and Coordination Unit (SOCU) Alhaji Hamza Salihu (Talban Badarawa) and Chairman Gayari Development Association Alhaji Bala Aliyu Gayari.
Until his recent appointment as the Head of Service, by the State Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle, Kabir Gayari, who was the longest serving permanent secretary at the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, was the Permanent Secretary State Ministry of Finance.
Gayari who took over from Alh. Kabiru Balarabe Dan-Isah vowed to work assiduously with a view to moving the state forward and to ensure effective service delivery in the State.
It could be recalled that, the state governor has recently appointed the former Head of Service Alh. Kabiru Balarabe (Sardaunan Dan Isah) as the Secretary to the State Government.
In his maiden speech, Gayari who applauded the State civil servants for their commitment and dedication to duty, further pledged to do more to promote the condition of service which by extension will promote the livelihood of public labour force and the entire people of the state.
He therefore called on all and sundry to give him maximum support and cooperation as accorded to his predecessors for him to succeed.
“Let us all put our hands on deck, contribute our quota and continue praying for the divine intervention to avert the calamities of banditry and other social ills bedeviling our progress as a state.” he added.
In his address while handing over the office affairs to the new Head of Service, the Permanent Secretary office of the Head of Service, Alh. Yusuf Abdullahi Bakura pledged to work closely with all the stakeholders for a better service delivery.
