Rikiji made call on Sunday in Gusau when he paid a condolence visit to some deceased families in the state.

He noted that there is no time that Zamfara and Nigeria in general deserved special prayers than now considering the worsening security challenges affecting “our communities’’.

“We should continue with prayers and seek for Allah’s intervention to end the lingering security challenges in the state.

“On this note, I want to commend the tremendous measures taken by Gov. Bello Matawalle to ensure sustainable peace and stability in the state’’, he said.

Rikiji commended the state government for rescuing 18 students of the State College of Agriculture and Animal Sciences, Bakura who spent 12 days in bandits’ captivity.

“I also salute the governor and his team for initiating policies and measures to address the challenges despite the shortage of resources.

“We know what the governor is going through in managing the affairs of the state especially with the insecurity and inadequate resources’’, he explained.

Rikiji appealed to people of the state to continue to support government and comply with the directives of restriction order given by the government on weekly markets, motorcycle movement and supply of petrol products across the state.

He noted that the measures were aimed at providing lasting solutions to the worsening banditry attacks in the state.
