Fa’ika Ahmad, Commissioner, Zamfara State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management

The Commissioner, Zamfara State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Fa’ika Ahmad has described patients with psychiatric issues as most vulnerable that require topmost support and social attention.

Fa’ika made the pronouncement while presenting food items to the patients of Psychiatric Hospital Anka as part of her duty to assist needy in the state.

She explained that the Ministry has been committed to ensuring effective cushioning of hardships being experienced by the victims of banditry, disaster and vulnerable people across the state.

The Commissioner therefore appealed to the general public to be supportive and assisting psychiatric patients in their respective communities with a view to improving their mental health.

Fa’ika Ahamad further assured Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle’s commitments towards ensuring effective mandate implementation of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.

Receiving the food items, the Executive Chairman, Zamfara State Hospital Services Management Board, Dr. Bashir Muhammad Maru appropriated the ministry for taking into consideration the plight of psychiatric patients in the state and pledged due utilization of the gesture.

Similarly, the Commissioner has inspected distribution exercise of foodstuff to 31 victims of banditry in Ruwan Doruwa town of Maru Local to Area.
