Zamfara State Government has distributed food items to 103 victims of Banditry in Karakkai Village of Bungudu Local Government Area of the State.
The items were distributed by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development to alleviate suffering of the people who were affected by banditry activities in the state.
Commissioner of the Ministry, Fa’ika M. Ahmad, urged the beneficiaries to use the food items judiciously and continue to pray for the restoration of peace in the state and the country in general.
The Commissioner who was represented by the Director Planning of the Ministry, Malam Nura Labbo said the gesture was parts of the state government efforts to support needy and other vulnerable persons in the state, hence distributed rice and beans to the victims of Banditry in the village.
On his part, District Head of Karakkai Village, Alh. Muhammadu Bello Yusuf, thanked the state government and assured proper utilisation of the gesture.
The event was attended by the Sole Administrator of Bungudu Local Government Council, Abubakar Sadiq Maiturare; Deputy Majority Leader Zamfara State House of Assembly, Nasiru Bello Lawal; Former Head Of Service, Bello Umar karakai among other dignitaries.
