The Bayero University Alumni class 91 has innitiated an endowment fund to support the development of their alma mata.

Presenting a cheque of five hundred thousand Naira to the Vice Chancellor of the University, the chairman of organization Alhaji Sunusi Garba Abdullahi called on other class chapters to key into the project by donating atleast half a million Naira into the fund in order enhance the institution financial capacity in catering to the academic and welfare development of students.
He pledged the 91 chapter’s resolve to donate half a million annually into the fund.

The endowment was launched as part of chapter’s 30th anniversary held at the convocation arena of the University
Receiving the cheque on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, the DVC Academic Profesor Haruna Musa Danbatta commended the Chapter for the innitiativr which he said was the first in the history of the University.

While assuring juducious of the funds, prof Danbatta called on other class chapter to key into thr programme for the development of University.

Similarly the Class 91 BUK alumni has donanted food items and sanitaried to Tudun Maliki Torry home in Kano Municipality.
Handing over the items to the Permanent Secretary of the Minstry for Women Affairs, the Chaiman Sunusi Garba Abdullah said the gestire was part of the group modest contribution for the welfare of the less previlaged in the society.
He said the visit to the torry was not only to make the donation but to understand the challenges of place for the group contineous support.

Responding the Permanent Secretary Hajiya Amina Aminu espressed government appreciation for the gesture and implored others to emulated the group.

The class chapter also inaugurated 3 special committees towards harnessing individual member’s resources for contribution towards the development of our society.

Various committees have also been formed to cement existing relationship between members including security committee to be headed by Brig Gen Sani Usman kukasheka amongst other.
