Dozens of armed terrorists have attacked Kofar Kona community in Zaria, killing four people and injuring many.

Sources told Journalists that the bandit terrorists stormed the area around 10pm on Monday and opened fire sporadically at people.

After the shooting, the bandits shepherded a herd of cattle into the bush.

A resident who spoke with our reporter on the condition of anonymity said they called the police emergency lines without response.

“We called all the police emergency numbers without any response. The police came after the bandits finished their operation and left.

“At least 24 people were taken to Gambo Sawaba General Hospital, Kofar Gayan. Four of them died of injuries sustained during the attack.

“They also went away with a herd of cattle belonging to the Fulanis, who settled in the area recently,” said the source.

Spokesman for Kaduna State Police Command Mohammed Jalige did not respond to our call at the time of filing this report.
