Kano State Government has shutdown and revoked operational license of Noble Kids Academy indefinitely
In a statement made available to newsmen by the Chief Public Relations Officer, CPRO, of the state Ministry of Education ALIYU YUSUF, said, the state government’s action followed an alleged kidnapping and subsequent Murder of a 5 year old girl Hanifa Abubakar, a pupil of the Noble Kids Academy, Kwanar Dakata by one of the school teachers, Kano state Government has ordered for an indefinite closed down and withdrawal of the operational license of the two schools.
According to the CPRO, the development was disclosed by the state Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru while expressing shock over the unfortunate incidence.
He said that the directives for the closure and licence withdrawal is with immidiate effect, pending the investigation of the case by the state Police Command.
The Commissioner also revealed that in addition to the police investigation, a ministerial Committee has been constituted by the ministry with a view to assisting in digging the matter for justice to take it’s cause.
While consoling and condoling the families of late Hanifa Abubakar on behalf of the ministry and the state government, he call on parents/ guardians to desist from taking their wards to that school and it’s likes.
He further stated that the ministry will do all it takes to facilitate the work of the constituted committee in checkmating the activities of Private schools in the state so as to prevent future occurrence of such incidence.
It could be recalled that, the 5-year-old was kidnapped on December 4, 2021 by her teacher, who came in a commercial tricycle and lured her to enter for a joyride and later demanded for N6 million ransom.
Despite collecting part of the N6million demanded, the abductor of the 5-year-old girl, Hanifa Abubakar, killed her.
