Zamfara State Government has dispensed Twenty Five Million Naira to the families of the deceased who lost their lives as a result of banditry attacks in Tsafe Local Government Area.

This was contained in a statement made available to ‘Smarts News’ by the Director of Information, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Bashir Kabiru Ahmad.

The Director explained that, during the distribution of the gesture, the State Governor, Alh. Bello Muhammad Matawalle said, assistance was meant to serve as relief to the families of the deceaseds.

While Presenting the financial assistance to the families at the palace of Emir Of Tsafe, Alh. Mamman Bawa, the Governor who was represented by the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly Musa Bawa Musa described the unfortunate attacks on the innocent people in 15 communities of Tsafe Emirate as inhuman and devastating, adding that the administration of Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle will continue to devise means to dealing with the ugly situation in the state.

The Deputy speaker further extended Governor Matawalle’s condolence and sympathy messages to the families of the deceased, people and Tsafe Local Government Area.

Speaking, the Emir Of Tsafe Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar Bawa thanked Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle for responding within 48 hours to the plight of the families and the communities attacked by the bandits in the emirate.

Similarly, the State Government through State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development distributed 561 bags of Food Stuff, clothes and other non-food items to 428 IDPs from the 15 communities in Tsafe Town.

The Commissioner Of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Fa’ika M. Ahmad said, the intervention to IDPs was part of the ministry’s response to the displaced persons with a view to cushioning their situation.

Fa’ika who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry Alh. Tukur Shehu Kaya further reaffirmed the ministry’s commitments to the plight of the IDPs and vulnerable households across the state.

Responding, the Sole Administrator of Tsafe Local Government Council, Aminu Mudi assured their continuous support to the administration of Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle for responding to the security situation of the people.
