Kaduna State Government says enrollment for the formal sector into the State Health Contributory Scheme has reached ninety nine percent.

The Director General of the State Health Contributory Scheme, Malam Abubakar Hassan made this known during engagement meeting with Desk officers from various Ministries, Departments and Agencies across the state.

Malam Hassan explained that,
KACHMA) has map out campaign strategies to reach out various groups and informal sector with a view to educate on the importance of being part of the scheme.

According to him, key issues were discussed during the meeting especially concerning the Validation of enrollment data on formal sector enrollees, Submission of the nomination of Nominal roll of the Authority by the desk officers on monthly basis as well as challenges and way forward.

“The reason that we bring together these ambassadors of the scheme is to brain Storm on the success recorded and also to look at the challenges for better performance ahead”

The Managing Director also announced that, the agency would be holding the meeting quarterly to deliberate for better performance.

He pointed out that, KADCHMA want a better approach, through knowledge sharing, from the representatives of MDAs to communicate and attract indirect enrollees, who are willing to enrol in the scheme.

The chairman, Kaduna council, Trade Union Congress, Abdullahi Danfulani commended KACHMA for initiating the quarterly meeting in order to get feedback to improve on its services.

He urged the authority to ensure that more residents were sensitised to have access to quality, equitable and affordable healthcare.
