The incumbent governor of Zamfara State Bello Muhammad Matawalle has won the APC Governatorial Primary Election held in Gusau, Thursday

He returned unopposed as the other Aspirant stepdown few minutes to the commencement of the excercise.

The incumbent governor, Bello Muhammad Matawalle poled 733 votes out of the 735 voted casted.

Announcing the result, Chairman, APC Governatorial Primary Election Committee sent to Zamfara State, Hon. Babagana Tijjani Banki, said governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle won the Primary Election unopposed with 733 votes.

In his acceptance speech, Governor Bello Matawalle expressed gratitude to the Delegates and other party officials, especially the factions that reconciled with him to have a stronger APC in Zamfara State.

He called on the party faithfuls and entire people of the state to remain steadfast in supporting him for the betterment of the state.
